Mazón stressed the importance of this exhibition because of the «ties that unite Cantabria and Mexico» and took the opportunity to invite Mexican architects to get to know the «magnificent works» of architecture in Santander, including the Palacio de la Magdalena and the Botín Center, and the rest of the region.

Among the works on display are the recovery of the capital’s historic center, streets, gardens and other urban spaces, as well as the creation and renovation of museums and cultural centers and the city’s main park, Chapultepec.

The preparation and experience of the architect and urban planner is what has allowed him to take on projects of this magnitude. He studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s GSAPP. He is also a member of the Expert Council of the Advisory Council for Sustainable Urban Development (CONDUSE) and a member of the Mexico City College of Architects.

His homonymous firm has developed other projects such as the Papalote Verde Museum in Monterrey, the architectural image of Liverpool stores, residential works such as Casa GC in Mexico City, Casa Tres Vidas in Acapulco, Guerrero, Casa Utrey in Puerto Vallarta Jalisco, among others.
